Jon's Garage is a nonprofit organization created and dedicated to honoring the lives of Jon L. Gullette and Jon R. Romero by their family.  Our family lost Jon L. in 2018, and then his namesake and nephew, Jon R. in 2024.  

Jon L. and Jon R. both made a huge impact on the lives of every person that knew them. Our hope is to continue to spread the joy & love they both brought to the world by sharing their passion for cars, and their many other interests, with the community. Through creative outreach like our Hot Wheels initiative, Wheels in the Wild, engaging events, and collaborative donations, we aim to inspire connection, joy, and remembrance. Our mission is to build a growing, interactive community that celebrates curiosity, kindness, and the love of discovery—one tiny car at a time.

Why Cars?

We chose Hot Wheel cars as an item to share because both Jon L. and Jon R. absolutely loved cars. They each had a massive Hot Wheels collection and would get so excited when doing anything car related, we couldn’t think of a better way to share their stories than by spreading Hot Wheels worldwide.

Both Jons loved cars, loved to play, loved exploring outside, sharing their love & energy with the world, and also found so many special ways to bring people together. We  hope that every Hot Wheels car from Jon’s Garage that is found, shared, and played with, brightens a child’s and family’s day, and we hope to carry on their stories and legacies forever.
