Mustang Restoration Project
We're raising funds to purchase and restore a Mustang similar to the one Jon owned and loved, which will be showcased at car shows and community events as a rolling tribute to his memory.
We’re partnering with the Las Positas Automotive Technology Program, which Jon L. was attending, who will be helping with the restoration process. This project will give the students hands-on experiences while also celebrating Jon’s life and love for all things automotive.
Your support will help us bring this meaningful project to life. Every dollar goes directly toward acquiring a Mustang and the materials needed for restoration. Join us in honoring Jon and sharing his story, one show at a time.

Catalytic Converter Etching Event
October 7th - Las Positas College, Livermore, CA
In partnership with the Livermore Police Department, Las Positas College’s Automotive Department hosted an event to prevent catalytic converter theft. The student technicians etch your license plate number onto your catalytic converter as a way to identify it and link it to your vehicle!
The team also let us come out to hand out car packs and talk with the community about our organization and the Mustang restoration project we are working on with the LPC Automotive Department!

September 28th - Livermore, CA
The Las Positas Automotive Technology Program had a booth where they were showcasing their amazing work, handing out Jon’s Garage car packs, and sharing about our special Mustang restoration project.
Honoring Jon R.'s Love for Sharks all Month Long!

During the month of July, we placed ocean-themed car packs out in the wild!
We wanted to celebrate Shark Week in honor of my son, Jon R., who absolutely loved sharks. He knew the names of so many different shark species, always wanted to wear his shark outfits, and loved all his shark toys — he would take them with him wherever he went.
His excitement was contagious. His face would light up every time he got to share his shark facts or show off his collection. You couldn't help but smile seeing the pure joy he had while he was sharing his love of sharks with others.
Through Jon’s Garage, we’re continuing to share that same love, excitement and joy with others, just as Jon would have.
Fundraiser for Sharks 4 Kids
We teamed up with Sharks4Kids to raise funds for their Project Lemon Aid—supporting the conservation of Lemon sharks at sites around the Turks and Caicos Islands!
Jon had a deep love for sharks. He loved to read his big shark book and name all the sharks in it, and always brought his shark toys with him anywhere he went. We’re running this fundraiser in the hopes of honoring his passion by helping others—especially kids—learn to love and protect sharks.
Thank you to everyone who donated to our fundraiser! Thanks to your contributions, we were able to ‘adopt’ a baby lemon shark in Jon’s honor. We chose to name the shark Bon because Jon’s cousins, and best friends, lovingly called him Bon 💙🦈

We did our first ever giveaway in honor of Shark Week and Jon R.’s love for sharks!
We partnered with Fahlo and gifted 5 lucky winners a special Fahlo shark-tracking bracelet that lets you follow the journey of a real shark! Each winner also received 2 Shark Week exclusive car packs from Jon’s Garage, created to support our nonprofit’s mission!

Ponies & Snakes Car Show
June 2025
We attended our first in-person event, the annual Ponies and Snakes car show in Danville! The turnout was incredible, there were so many cool cars to see, and an awesome crowd of fellow car lovers!
A huge thank you to the Bay Area Mustang Association (BAMA) for welcoming us to your amazing event and giving us the opportunity to hand out 100 Jon’s Garage car packs to attendees!
My family and I first attended Ponies and Snakes in 2023, when BAMA graciously invited us to present the Las Positas Automotive Technology Program Award in memory of my brother, Jon L., honoring his legacy in a community he loved. It was a very touching moment that we will never forget. To be back again this year honoring both my brother and my son, Jon R., alongside such a supportive organization, means more than we can express.
